#9

The vegan diet...well I switched it up a little, or a lot, I've decieded to do the Daniel fast. The Danial fast is 21 days long and consist of a vegan diet, only without sugar, caffeine and leavened bread...the only drink allowed is water. This I believe is going to be quite a challenge, however I am up for it, I like a challenge. Klay has decieded to do it with me which will help a lot. We decieded on the Daniel fast for a few reasons, we want to grow close in our relationship with Christ, as well as prayerfully consider some things in our life...what job will I have after I graduate, when should we start a family and Klay's schedule, as well as guidance in his current job. There are also a lot we are praying for close friends and family who are going through their own difficult times...God laid specific request on our hearts to pray for these individuals we care for and love. The idea of this fast is to feed your body with what it needs and not what it craves...so you'll become disciplined in your eating which will help lead to a more disciplined life. I am excited about what the Lord is going to show us through this fast and would ask for prayers while we pursue his knowledge and will in our lives.

So I am officially on day one and I will admit that I missed my morning coffee, I pretty much LOVE coffee...I will do this however, no matter how much I miss certain foods or drinks! I will post throughout this adventure and keep you updated with how things are going...I'm sure there will be some complaining, but I try to keep a glass half full out look...so far today has gone well, ate oatmeal for breakfast, a yummy salad from moes, with only the allowed foods, and I'm planning on red beans and brown rice for dinner...should end a good day!

Okay so I wrote this yesterday and meant to post it, then got busy and never did...so today is now day two and both Klay and I are doing well...I have to admit that I have a horrible headache, however I think it has more to do with the crazy pollen count the lack of caffeine. So here is to another good day... hoping the next 19 will be just as good!

#1 !!!

So I can officially scratch off number one!!!! This one was one of the most exciting things I wanted to do on my list! As I have said, Klay and I love to travel, and I have wanted to go to Italy for forever! Before I go on a trip, or even make it reality, I have to work up to it...it starts with the annoying talking, which I do a lot of, start looking up everything I would love to see, obsessing over Clark Howard travel deals and then I start telling people "yeah I think Klay and I are going to Italy", and then after all those hints, it clicks, and Klay gets it and says "Hey I think we should go to Italy!!!" and then I'm like "Yeah me too!!!"...so this week all the hard work paid off and we did it, we took the trip! I really wanted to toss the coin, because it's legend that if you do, you will return one day and because honestly it's a big deal! Well so far Italy has been everything I dreamed and more, it really is amazing!!! I love Roma!!!
